Aubrey has experienced the fifteenth fastest population growth rate in the Dallas Fort Worth area over the past five years. It also has the sixth lowest overall crime rate of all Dallas suburbs. Aubrey is located in northeast Denton County, approximately 49 miles north of downtown Dallas and 53 miles northeast of downtown Fort Worth. As the DFW metroplex continues to grow and becomes more densely populated, Aubrey's proximity to the Legacy and north Dallas business centers and DFW International Airport is likely to make Aubrey residential real estate even more desirable than it is now for people who need to commute frequently to and from these areas.
