Parker public schools rank thirteenth among 2019 Dallas suburbs with best public schools. Parker has the fifth highest percentage of owner occupied homes of all Dallas suburbs and the seventh lowest overall crime rate. Its prevailing tax rate is in the bottom quartile of property tax rates in the Dallas area. Parker is located in south central Collin County, approximately 27 miles northeast of downtown Dallas and 55 miles northeast of downtown Fort Worth.
